In the early hours of the morning, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain were placed on alert after Iran carried out missile and drone attacks, significantly escalating tensions in the region.
The Ministry of Defense of the United Arab Emirates announced that air defense systems were activated to neutralize the missiles and drones launched by Iran.

At the same time, explosions were heard in the Qatari capital, while an AFP journalist reported that missiles could be seen in the sky being intercepted by air defense systems.
Qatari authorities sent urgent messages to citizens’ mobile phones, asking them to remain inside their homes until further notice.
Alarm sirens were also activated in Bahrain, while the Interior Ministry urged citizens to remain calm and take shelter in safe areas.
