First Deputy Prime Minister Bekim Sali has welcomed the start of construction on the Bukojçan-Kërçovë highway, a project he calls concrete progress toward implementing Corridor VIII.

According to him, infrastructure investment agendas aim for more functional road connections, safer and easier travel for citizens, and a more favorable environment for the economy and for investors seeking to operate in the country.
In a social media post, Sali emphasized that with these works, another major infrastructure project is moving from the planning phase to execution on the ground, while the Government continues to increase the capital that brings better roads and more favorable conditions for economic development.
He also underlined that Corridor VIII represents a strategic hub connecting North Macedonia with the region, opening new opportunities for both residents and businesses.
According to Sali, after years of promises, projects are now taking shape on the ground, turning infrastructure into a direct investment in the country’s development and future.
