Citizens have differing views on rising prices, beyond the official data. Some say the increase is significant and that rising fuel prices also affect other products. Others see inflation as the result of calculations by economic specialists.

“Prices have risen by 100 percent. One kilogram of cheese used to cost 250 denars, while now it costs 500–600 denars. The same applies to meat and all other products.

They are only deceiving the people. When fuel becomes more expensive, other prices also rise, because all transportation is carried out using fuel and that is why they increase,” one citizen said.

Another citizen said: “We attach great importance to this and I think it is normal. This is a calculation made by experts, economists.”

“With this government, anything is possible; prices will only continue to rise. It is not known, most likely, most likely,” a citizen said.

The Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia announced that the minimum union basket reached 69,432 denars in September. This is 757 denars more than in August and 4,355 denars above the figure for September last year. A family needed 25,259 denars per month for food and beverages. /Alsat.mk.
