The replacement of one member of the judicial panel has led to the “Oncology 2” trial restarting today at the Criminal Court in Skopje. The defendants in the case are Nino Vasev and Nehad Nuhi, former directors of the Oncology Clinic.
The indictment alleges that illegal procurement and misuse of medicines between 2018 and 2022 caused losses of nearly €36 million to the budget.

At the hearing, both defendants again pleaded not guilty. Vasev’s defense argued that the charges are based on assumptions rather than concrete evidence. Meanwhile, the lawyer representing Nuhi objected to the prosecution’s submission of additional evidence.
