The 2026/2027 heating season officially opens today, October 15, for more than 25,000 customers connected to the capital’s network. The public utility Termokos announced that all the necessary conditions for starting supply have been met.

Heating will initially be provided at limited capacity. According to the company, capacity will be increased gradually until supply is fully stabilized for all customers, to protect equipment and maintain the system’s stable operation.
Preparations for the new season were completed in recent days, Termokos said. This process also included signing an energy supply agreement with the Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK).
After reviewing readiness for the season, Termokos chief executive Bersant Beka, together with the management team, concluded that all the necessary conditions for starting heating had been secured.
The company explained that the October 15 date for the official start of the 2026/2027 heating season for more than 25,000 customers connected to the capital’s network is based on this assessment, the legislation in force and climatic conditions.
The assessment of whether the conditions for opening the season had been met was also carried out in coordination with the Municipality of Prishtina and the company’s governing bodies.
