Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski announced via a social media post that construction of the Bukojcan – Kicevo highway segment has officially begun, describing the project as an important moment toward achieving the full connection between Skopje and Ohrid.

“Today we mark the beginning of works on the Bukojcan – Kicevo highway axis, another major infrastructure project and an essential step toward our great goal, the full connection of Skopje with Ohrid,” Mickoski wrote.
He stressed that with the completion of the Kicevo – Ohrid, Gostivar – Bukojcan, Tetovo – Gostivar and Bukojcan – Kicevo projects, conditions will be created for faster traffic flow, improved road safety, the attraction of new investments and stronger economic development.
“After years of delays and missed opportunities, Macedonia needs concrete works, not excuses. While the opposition continues with empty criticism and political clashes, our answer is real projects that will serve citizens and the generations to come,” the prime minister declared.
Mickoski underlined that the country’s progress remains the Government’s main priority.
“Works are our distinguishing mark, while the development of Macedonia is our obligation. Macedonia is being built, is connecting and is moving forward,” concluded Prime Minister Mickoski.
