At the graduation ceremony for the Kosovo Police’s 63rd class, Prime Minister Albin Kurti addressed 397 cadets who had completed their training. They include 118 women and 279 men.
Kurti told the new officers that integrity, professionalism and responsibility should guide their service. He described representing the Kosovo Police as one of the greatest responsibilities entrusted to them and urged them to draw on the virtues, ideals and discipline strengthened during their training.

He said the tests and challenges they had faced had taught them how to approach situations and manage their duties. The prime minister urged them not to forget the lessons and guidance that would accompany them throughout their tenure and service.
Speaking about government support, Kurti said the Kosovo Police budget had increased by more than 50 percent over the past five years. He compared the support provided through the budget and other measures with that of previous periods.
During this period, he said, 20 police stations, facilities and bases had been established and reinforced in the north of the country. Kurti added that public order police had been equipped with long guns, which they previously lacked, as well as new vehicles and armored vehicles purchased for nearly €8 million.
He also said that security in the north and police work had enabled the discovery of three mass graves from the last war in the villages of Kalludër e Vogël and Jabukë in Zubin Potok. Pledging that the government would always stand by the Kosovo Police, Kurti stressed that its many achievements should not lead to complacency.
