Former Constitutional Court judge Kadri Kryeziu said that August 7 was the deadline set by the Constitution for the constitution of Kosovo’s Assembly.

According to him, after this date has passed, there is no longer a constitutional deadline for this process, while any other deadline mentioned is political and set by political entities.
Kryeziu said that, in accordance with the Constitutional Court’s judgment, the Assembly should have been constituted within 30 days. He stressed that, after its constitution, the speaker and deputy speakers should be elected, after which the Assembly should be dissolved so that the next extraordinary elections can be held.
He added that, in the absence of the constitution of the Assembly, he sees no basis for taking further action. According to him, the only possibility would be for a political entity to request an interpretation regarding the Constitutional Court’s 2025 judgment.
