The decision to hold a peaceful protest was adopted unanimously by the leadership of the New KEK Union at its meeting on November 6, 2026.

In its statement, the union said the workers’ demands had been submitted to KEK’s management and board on October 19, 2026, but had not been reviewed or addressed. It stressed that the protest would be peaceful and held in accordance with the legislation in force in the Republic of Kosovo.

The New KEK Union said it remains open to dialogue at any time and expects the demands to be treated seriously and with institutional responsibility, in the interests of workers and the Kosovo Energy Corporation.
