The imam of the village of Zlipotok, Gazmend Tahirovci, was stabbed to death last night in circumstances that have still not been clarified.
According to Ajhan Beqiri, secretary of the KBI for the Gora region, this serious incident is not related to his duty as an imam at the mosque.

“All I can say is that the imam’s killing is not connected to his work. We have information that this serious act occurred over private matters. Gazmend was an imam in our area and we are shocked by his loss. We hope the justice authorities will do their job and shed light on this case as soon as possible. We share the family’s grief and pray that God has taken him to paradise,” Ajhan Beqiri said.
Beshir Hamza has been arrested over the fatal stabbing of Imam Gazmend Tahirovci.
He was detained this morning following an operation organized by the Kosovo Police.
