According to data from the institute, a total of 151 measles cases were recorded from April 16 to August 30, 2026.
IKShPK reported that more than 95 percent of those affected had not been vaccinated with the MMR vaccine, which, according to the institute, demonstrates the importance of immunization in protecting children from the disease.
In addition to routine vaccination, the institute has also intensified the delayed vaccination process, known as catch-up.
This year, around 2,500 children aged 2–5 have been vaccinated through this campaign.
IKShPK has called on parents to vaccinate their children, stressing that vaccination is the best protection against measles.
