A 52-year-old man of Moroccan origin, who lives in the Ragusa area, handed over to police a wallet he found at a gas station. It contained around €2,900 in cash, personal documents and payment cards.

The wallet had been left on a pillar at the gas station in Contrada Majorana. It is believed to have been forgotten there by a driver who had stopped shortly beforehand to refuel his car.
The 52-year-old was traveling to his workplace in Comiso, but decided to turn back and hand over the found item to the Provincial Carabinieri Command.
The personal documents enabled officers to identify the owner, a 41-year-old nurse from Ragusa who works in Catania.
After receiving the wallet, he verified that everything was still inside, including the approximately €2,900, ANSA reports.
The 41-year-old nurse expressed his gratitude to the 52-year-old, while the latter’s action was praised as an example of honesty demonstrated through a simple but meaningful gesture.
