Criticism from Left party leader Dimitar Apasiev over the inclusion of Albanian on the Ministry of Justice’s official website has prompted a response from Florian Nesimi. The decision was made by Justice Minister Jeton Shasivari as part of measures to expand the use of Albanian in institutional communications.

In a social media post, the political analyst responded ironically to Apasiev’s stance. Nesimi wrote that the Left leader had become irritated after Shasivari made the Ministry of Justice’s website available in Albanian as well, and asked what he would say when the bar exam was also held in Albanian.
Nesimi’s remarks come at a time when the use of Albanian in state institutions remains a subject of political debate in the country. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Justice has announced that it will take further measures to implement the legal provisions governing the use of official languages.
