Former Kosovo Assembly member, doctor, humanitarian and political activist Flora Brovina was laid to rest with military honors.

Earlier in the day, a memorial ceremony in her honor was held in the lobby of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo.
Assembly Speaker and Acting President Albulena Haxhiu, accompanied by colleagues, laid flowers beside Brovina’s coffin, honoring her life and work.
Haxhiu praised Flora Brovina’s role and contribution to Kosovo’s public and parliamentary life.
“The news of Flora Brovina’s passing saddened us all. Flora Brovina devoted her entire life to the citizens of our nation.
Kosovo lost a doctor, humanitarian, political activist, KLA veteran and signatory of the Declaration of Independence.
We will always remember her for her deeds, which will forever remain in everyone’s mind and heart. Rest in peace, strong woman!” Haxhiu wrote in the book of condolences.
