DUI has reacted following the distribution of keys to social housing units in Debar, claiming that the current government turned the event into a media spectacle with cameras, photographs, statements and self-congratulation, while failing to tell citizens that the project was not its own.

According to the party, the social housing units were designed, financed and launched by the previous government. DUI says the case reflects the way the country has been governed over the past two years.
“When everything had been completed and was ready, they came only to hand over the keys and take photographs. Others draw up the projects, secure the funding and begin the work, while they show up to have their pictures taken,” DUI said in a press release.
At the same time, the party asked VLEN which project it had conceived, financed, launched and completed during these two years.
DUI called for a single project to be named that was not inherited from the previous government and at which government representatives did not merely show up to cut the ribbon or distribute the keys.
While congratulating the families in Debar on their new homes, DUI stressed that citizens should be told the truth. According to the party, the government yesterday did not promote its own work, but yet another project completed by others.
“Two years in power, many photographs and not a single project of their own,” DUI concluded.
