DUI has responded to the indictment filed against eight people accused of abuse of official position and authority at the State Lottery. The alleged damage to North Macedonia’s State Lottery exceeds 507 million denars.

The party considers the move an absurd political accusation and is demanding to know what concrete evidence and arguments it is based on after two years of investigation.
Although it says it respects the independence of judicial institutions, DUI is demanding that the law be applied equally and not selectively. According to the party, decisions made collectively should not be used to assign individual responsibility and pursue criminal prosecution.
DUI is also calling for the case to be subject to open and transparent international oversight. The party stresses that it is not seeking privileges for anyone, but rather a fair process, equal application of the law, and justice free from political influence, insisting that the indictment is not supported by any testimony, evidence, or fact.
