Day 41 of Revolt Against the Government: Protesters Begin March Through Tirana’s Streets as the Chant “Rama, Resign” Echoes

For 41 days, Albanian citizens have been demanding Rama’s removal from office. After the speakers concluded their addresses in front of the government building, tension in the square rose once again.

Tens of thousands of participants who had gathered there left the area in front of the Prime Minister’s Office and set off on a large march along the capital’s main streets.

With banners in their hands and repeated chants of “Rama, resign” and “Rama, leave,” this protest marks another high point in this day of revolt.
