A cyclist has died in a traffic accident on the Kočani-Gratče Dam local road, the Interior Ministry reported.

The incident was reported to the Kočani Police Department on July 20, 2026, at around 3:30 p.m. The accident involved a Škoda vehicle with Kočani license plates, driven by I.B. (51) from Kočani, and a bicycle ridden by D.Gj. (65), also from Kočani.
The cyclist died at the scene from his injuries, with a doctor from the Kočani Emergency Medical Service pronouncing him dead.
At the order of the public prosecutor, the deceased’s body was sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for an autopsy.
The public prosecutor and an investigative team from the Kočani Police Department conducted an examination at the scene of the accident, the Interior Ministry said./Telegrafi/
