The sanction of60-day exclusion from Parliament proceedings, imposed on two Democratic MPs, Gazment Bardhi and Klevis Balliu, has been strongly contested by Freedom Party MP Tedi Blushi. The disciplinary measure came after tensions and the incident in the Parliament chamber, when eggs and water bottles were thrown at the Prime Minister.

Speaking on News24’s “Minuta e Parë” program, Blushi described the sanction as a punishment of a political nature, given on the direct orders of Prime Minister Edi Rama, and not as an act of the parliament itself. At the same time, he defended the opposition’s behavior inside the Parliament chamber.
According to him, the decision did not come from Parliament, but was a punishment ordered and calculated by Rama. He recalled October8, when, according to the Freedom Party MP, the Prime Minister “condemned” Albania by voting for the new map of depopulation and de-nationalization, while now, continuing the political punishments, he has punished two honored members of the Democratic Party parliamentary group. Blushi warned that no one should be surprised if today, tomorrow or later, Rama punishes and expels all opposition MPs.
Asked whether the Prime Minister being hit with eggs and water was the cause of the disciplinary measure, Blushi stressed that any reaction against the majority remains legitimate when faced with what he calls a criminal and dictatorial act.
At the end of his statement, the Freedom Party MP described the decision as a dictatorial and criminal act, taken under Rama’s dictates, emphasizing that this has been proven by the Socialist Party MPs themselves, who have acted under pressure, blackmail and even the lynching of their family members. According to Blushi, this is a prime minister who continues to be the head of a criminal organization and who, in the most mafia-like manner, violates the Constitution, the laws of the Republic and the European Convention on Human Rights every day.
