SPAK has imposed house arrest as a security measure on the head of the State Intelligence Service, Vlora Hyseni, and suspended her from duty.
Hyseni is suspected of aiding the perpetrator of a crime and disclosing a state secret. Searches of her premises were carried out as part of investigations into the AKSHI case, while reports say she is currently abroad, in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The development was also commented on by Mefail Bajqinovci, a deputy from the Vetëvendosje Movement, who republished a 2025 post by journalist Berat Buzhala.
Buzhala’s post at the time referred to Vlora Hyseni, who had been appointed by Prime Minister Edi Rama to head Albania’s State Intelligence Service.
Linking that post to the latest situation, Bajqinovci responded ironically to the journalist.
“Whoever Buzhala praises never benefits from it. Either they get arrested or their hotel is seized by SPAK. Whoever Berat praises, we know where they end up,” Bajqinovci wrote.
