During the 301st meeting of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), chair Arian Gashi announced that Aleksandër Lumezi, a prosecutor at the Office of the Chief State Prosecutor, had resigned from his position as a member of the Commission for Evaluating Prosecutors’ Performance.

According to Gashi, in his resignation letter Lumezi stated: “…I do not consider it reasonable to continue when my professional position on the evaluation is at odds with that of the other members of the Commission.”
Gashi announced that a new member of the commission would be appointed at one of the upcoming meetings.
After the break, the Council continued its meeting in a closed session, where disciplinary cases and the issue of performance evaluation are being reviewed.
