According to sources, around 40 protesters have so far been escorted to police stations in the capital.
The gathering, which began in front of the ministry building, escalated with the intervention of law enforcement forces, the use of water cannons, physical clashes and protesters being dragged along the streets. Meanwhile, several of Tirana’s main roads remain under the surveillance of security forces.
