Former Prosecutor General Adriatik Llalla has filed a request with the Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime, claiming that the sentence imposed on him has become time-barred.

It is recalled that Llalla was sentenced to two years of imprisonment for the criminal offenses of concealing assets and failing to declare them. However, this sentence has not yet been executed, while the former high-ranking justice official has left the territory of Albania.
Through the petition submitted to GJKKO, the former Prosecutor General requests that criminal proceedings against him be terminated with dismissal, relying precisely on the claim that the sentence has become time-barred.
