The flames emerged in several separate fire spots, located close to each other, raising suspicions that the fire may have been deliberately set.
The difficult mountainous terrain conditions do not allow firefighting vehicles to approach. For this reason, teams on the ground are encountering difficulties in isolating and extinguishing the flames.
To handle the situation, employees of the Municipality of Bulqizë, the fire service, and forestry workers have been engaged, working to bring the fire under control.
In parallel, the police have begun verifications to identify the potential perpetrator or perpetrators, as it is suspected that the fire was set intentionally.
