Mayor Daut Memishi announced that the project included asphalt paving over a length of 600 meters and a width varying from 5.5 to 6 meters, adding that obstacles such as utility poles that previously hindered traffic have been removed.
Memishi highlighted that the completed road, financed by the government grant, has now been opened for traffic. He also announced that work on the sidewalks, which falls under the municipality’s jurisdiction, will begin soon.
He further expressed gratitude to Deputy Minister of Transport and Connections, Kaltrina Zekolli Shaqiri, for her steadfast support, as well as to the emigrants present at the ceremony. The mayor reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to continue implementing new infrastructure projects.
Present at the inauguration, Deputy Minister Zekolli Shaqiri emphasized that the Municipality of Tearcë has benefited from several projects through government calls and cooperation with the World Bank.
She clarified that there are two projects from the first call and five from the second, reaching a total value of 2.2 million euros. According to her, this is only the beginning of a 24-month governing period, during which concrete investments are being made to modernize municipal infrastructure.
Local and central authorities confirmed that investments in Tearcë’s road network will continue in the coming period, within the framework of state programs for municipal development.
