Elbasan Police have initiated criminal proceedings against R. T., 33, a resident of Tirana, and A. B., 31, a resident of Librazhd, for the criminal offence of “Threats due to duty”.

The case was reported on 17.07.2026, at around 14:00, when journalist O. S. informed the Police Operations Room that he had felt threatened by two people travelling in a vehicle while he was driving on the Librazhd–Elbasan road.
Under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office, crime investigation specialists at the Elbasan Police Station carried out the initial investigative actions and collected evidence related to the incident.
Following these actions, criminal proceedings were registered against the two individuals, while the procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor’s Office for further handling of the case.
