Three Postal Employees in Durrës Detained over Suspected Dereliction of Duty and Financial Abuse

The director of the Post Office branch in Durrës, Elisabeta Mataj, the head of finance, Valbona Hoti Duni, and cashier Paola Dana have been detained.

Immediately after the criminal complaint filed by the Post Office, prosecutor Frëngu launched proceedings and requested support from the General Directorate of the State Police. The three employees, accused by Albanian Post of dereliction of duty and abuse involving monetary funds, have been questioned.

The prosecutor ordered the detention of all three employees, while investigations into the case continue.
