A shooting incident in Brooklyn’s Coney Island, in New York, late on the evening of July 4, left at least eight people injured, including four children.
The New York Police Department said officers responded at around 10:37 p.m. local time after receiving reports of gunfire in the area.

Those injured include four adults and four children aged 6, 7, 12 and 14. Also wounded were two adult men and two women.
According to authorities, seven of the injured are in stable condition, while a 21-year-old woman is in critical condition.
Police recovered a firearm at the scene, while no arrests have been made so far. The incident occurred during July 4 celebrations in the Coney Island area.
