Following the results of the June 7 elections, internal tensions are continuing within the Democratic League of Kosovo, as some party branches have called for the resignation of chairman Lumir Abdixhiku, while differing positions have emerged from the party leadership and prominent figures.
Calls for accountability, support for the current leadership, and appeals for reflection within the party structures have further deepened the debate.

The Peja branch, the Lipjan branch, and Pristina Branch II have publicly called for Abdixhiku’s departure, while other branches, such as Ferizaj and Istog, have taken opposing positions, turning this into one of the strongest internal developments in the LDK after the elections.
On the other hand, Lumir Abdixhiku himself has also reacted to these developments. Referring to discussions held earlier at the party Assembly, he stated that the issue of his resignation has already been addressed, while calling for the moral resignation of the leaders of two branches, those of Peja and Ferizaj.
