Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar said that the government he leads will initiate procedures to remove Hungary’s president from office through a constitutional amendment, while the constitutional reform is expected to begin in the autumn.
In his address before parliament, Magyar also announced that his executive will implement broad economic, political and legal measures aimed at eliminating corruption in Hungary. According to him, these steps will also include the establishment of a National Agency for the Protection and Recovery of Assets.
