The legislator herself announced the news through a post on the social network Facebook, where she explained that the request arose as a result of the numerous complaints that have come from the country’s farmers.
According to her, the problem lies in the delay of payments – although the month of October began long ago, farmers have still not seen their money, which prompted her to seek an official response from the responsible institution.
“I want to inform you that today I sent a written request to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development regarding the direct payments for 2026. The farmers’ complaints made me aware of this problem and I considered it necessary to receive an official response,” she stated.
Ymeri did not spare her criticism of the ministry, emphasizing that staying silent cannot be the right approach in the face of an issue of such importance to the agricultural sector.
“I hope that the ministry’s staff, beyond Minister Armend Muja, are clear that failing to provide answers brings nothing positive, especially when it comes to such an important problem,” declared the deputy.
In addition to direct payments, she also touched on the topic of the concealment of information about Serbian wheat, making it known that she may take stronger steps.
Ymeri warned that if the warning of the Agency for Information and Privacy is not taken into account, the issue will be raised in the Assembly of Kosovo through parliamentary sessions.
