During the presentation of the initiative, Rama addressed price movements in the market, stressing that in some cases they may be illegal and constitute speculation, for which fines are also предусмотрed.

The head of government stressed that, despite the legal measures, the main objective remains cooperation with businesses and expanding participation in this initiative.

“Naturally, this is not the end; it is the beginning of a process in which we want to involve more and more businesses, including smaller businesses and retail outlets, where, as the minister said, prices often move illegally, and for this reason the law also provides for a fine if those prices constitute speculation. Nevertheless, our effort and our call will continue to be based on understanding and inclusiveness in this initiative. On the other hand, there are now more than 200 items included in this dashboard. The aim is for that number to reach 1,000 by the end of the year, so that everyone, without exception, has a very clear daily picture of the price situation,” Rama said.
