The 134th anti-government protest has ended after more than four months of uninterrupted rallies. Citizens marched through the capital, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

Participants said they would continue their resistance and would not abandon their demand for Rama to leave office. Chants of “Down with the government,” “Rama, resign” and “Albania is staging a revolution” were heard again at the rally and during the march.
Alongside the slogans, citizens carried placards with messages against Edi Rama and Belinda Balluku, demanding that they be held politically and legally accountable.
Organizers and activists have said their protests will continue until their demands are met.
Another protest, organized by students, has been announced for October 13 at 14:00.
