A public prosecutor from the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office for Prosecuting Organized Crime and Corruption has obtained court orders to search the home and office of a senior public prosecutor at the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Manastir. The prosecutor is suspected of committing the criminal offense of “Receiving a reward for unlawful influence,” stipulated under Article 359, paragraph 3, in conjunction with paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code.

The searches are being carried out by members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the basis of the warrants obtained. The Public Prosecutor’s Office announced that further details would be released tomorrow, after the actions are completed.
