The chairman of the PDK, Bedri Hamza, said that calls to amend the Law on Specialist Chambers were not linked solely to one political force or the terms of several governments, but to Kosovo’s history, present and future.

He said the creation of the Specialist Chambers had been a difficult decision. According to Hamza, the lawmakers who voted for it were convinced that the allegations of organ trafficking would not be confirmed.
Hamza described as a separate issue what he called the court’s “deviation” from the substance of the decision approved by the Assembly.
In particular, he expressed opposition to the findings related to the joint criminal enterprise, emphasizing that the Kosovo Liberation Army’s war was “just, pure—the war of the people of Kosovo.”
“We are not seeking a lack of justice or the evasion of trials for crimes. We are not seeking the closure of the court. Our demand is oversight, as well as the implementation of Kosovo’s laws and Constitution,” Hamza said.
