Gazment Bardhi, chairman of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group, stated in an interview for “Prime News24” that the State Intelligence Service had secured sophisticated equipment for environmental surveillance during the period when Vlora Hyseni was at the head of the institution.

According to Bardhi, he has been kept under surveillance by the operational forces of the Police after strong public denunciations, while data has been collected on his movements.
“As long as SHISH was put at the service of crime, I do not rule out any illegal action that may have occurred in that institution. Every time I make a strong denunciation, the operational forces of the Police follow me for a month or a month and a half, watching where I go in and out and collecting information. In truth, this does not bother me,” he said.
During the interview, Bardhi also raised suspicions about the fate of an advanced device that, according to him, was purchased by SHISH for surveillance in various environments. He claimed that the device may have ended up in the hands of one of the most dangerous criminal groups.
“There is information that journalists and diplomatic headquarters in Albania have been wiretapped. SHISH had purchased a very advanced device for environmental surveillance, but this needs to be verified. It is said that the device is no longer at SHISH, but with one of the most dangerous groups,” Bardhi declared.
He added that there is also data according to which Vlora Hyseni asked SPAK to be notified in advance about the targets where interventions would be made against political figures or criminal groups in the country.
