On Monday, President of the Republic Bajram Begaj convened the National Security Council. The meeting began at 08:30 and ended about an hour later.

The meeting was held following an investigation into former State Intelligence Service (SHISH) director Vlora Hyseni, who is under house arrest. Following the SPAK investigation, she was dismissed from her position at the institution.
Prime Minister Edi Rama, Parliament Speaker Niko Peleshi, several ministers with relevant portfolios and heads of security institutions attended the meeting.
Prime Minister Edi Rama said that the investigation into Vlora Hyseni was a matter for the justice system, while protecting security institutions was the responsibility of the state.
