Nine consecutive court hearings scheduled to mark the start of proceedings against Xhevat Krasniqi, a former Mathematics professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Pristina, have been postponed indefinitely.

The initial schedule called for the first hearing to be held on September 22 of this year, followed by the others on September 28, 29 and 30. The dates set for October were 1, 5, 6, 7 and 8.
Drilon Imeri, Krasniqi’s lawyer, told Klan Kosova that yesterday the sole judge in the case, Bujar Ahmeti, informed them by telephone that the postponement had been made “due to requests from several parties.”
No other reasons for the decision have been disclosed, and there is still no new date for the start of the trial.
