“The Princess died today, Friday, September 11, at the age of 94,” the Palace said in a statement.
Astrid attended Harald’s funeral ceremony on Wednesday, where she appeared in a wheelchair. The king had died on August 28, at the age of 89.
In recent years, the princess’s public appearances had become significantly less frequent.
In August, she, like her brother, was fitted with a pacemaker.
Astrid was the last child of King Olaf V, who ascended to the throne in 1957 and held it until 1991.
