Sterilization hearing: Former Health Minister Ilir Beqaj appears at the Special Court accompanied by a police officer

On Tuesday morning, former Health Minister Ilir Beqaj appeared at the Special Court to attend the hearing on the “Sterilization” case.

Beqaj was released from prison detention in July in connection with investigations into abuses involving SASPAC funds, and was placed under the less restrictive measure of house arrest.

The former minister is being investigated for theft through abuse of office and membership in a structured criminal group.
