LVV and LDK have agreed for Bekim Sejdiu to run for the office of President of Kosovo. The agreement is considered a positive development toward resolving the institutional crisis, although securing the necessary votes remains a challenge.

The two political entities have a total of 71 MPs, while 80 votes are required in the first two rounds of voting. In this process, the votes of community representatives could play a decisive role. PDK and AAK have announced that they will not support Sejdiu, while Avdullah Hoti has also spoken out against the agreement within the LDK.
Analyst Arbnor Sadiku briefly commented on the developments concerning this issue.
According to him, there is no opposition within the LDK to Sejdiu’s candidacy, with the exception of Avdullah Hoti, who, as Sadiku put it, would prefer a presidential candidate from the PDK.
“There is no opposition within the LDK except for Advullah Hoti, who is now known to consider only a presidential candidate coming from the PDK suitable for him,” Sadiku declared.
