Six crew members have died and another has been injured after a Russian Tupolev Tu-95 strategic bomber crashed during a training flight in the Amur region of Russia’s Far East.

Russia’s Defense Ministry confirmed the incident, while the news was reported by the state-run TASS news agency.
According to official information, the aircraft was not carrying weapons and was conducting a training mission. The crash occurred in an uninhabited area.
The Tu-95MS is part of Russia’s strategic bomber fleet and can carry nuclear weapons. Aircraft from this series have also been used to launch cruise missiles during Russia’s attacks on Ukraine.
The cause of the accident will be determined through an investigation launched by the authorities.
