In a statement published on social media, Democratic Party deputy chairman Belind Këlliçi reacted to Prime Minister Edi Rama’s video message, criticizing him for a lack of political responsibility over the scandal in the State Intelligence Service (SHISH).

Këlliçi says Rama has provided no explanations on the issue involving former SHISH head Vlora Hyseni.
According to him, the prime minister has chosen to blame SPAK and the opposition media.
Këlliçi also stresses that Rama has not accepted responsibility, even though Hyseni was appointed to head SHISH during his government’s mandate.
He also rejects the claim that her appointment was based on positive assessments by international partners.

“The serious scandal in the Secret Service, while Edi Rama accepts no responsibility and blames SPAK and the opposition media.
As expected, Edi Rama today took no responsibility for the serious scandal in the Secret Service, where its head is accused of supporting the perpetrator of the crime and leaking secret information in the interest of crime.
For this unprecedented affair, the prime minister declared that he feels and bears no responsibility, even though Vlora Hyseni was promoted and appointed by him. According to Rama, responsibility for this appointment belongs to the excellent references of international partners.
Vlora Hyseni, meanwhile, had been a servant of Edi Rama’s coordinator for gangs, Ergys Agasi. Today Edi Rama presented what happened as normal, although this is the most serious blow to national security as a result of abuse of power. He described SPAK’s investigations and actions, as well as the accurate media reports, as serious wrongdoing.
Edi Rama attacked justice and the media for the corruption and abuse of power by the government and its collaborators.
