At the Macedonian-Indian Business Forum held today, Minister of Economy and Labor Besar Durmishi said that North Macedonia is prepared to position itself as a reliable partner and a strategic gateway for Indian investment entering the European market.

The forum was attended by the President of the Republic of India, Droupadi Murmu, and the President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova. Discussions focused primarily on deepening economic cooperation and building new partnerships between the two countries.
According to Durmishi, there are significant opportunities for cooperation in information technology, the pharmaceutical and automotive industries, as well as in renewable energy, tourism and agriculture.
“Within the Ministry of Economy and Labor, our commitment is to implement reforms aimed at creating a more competitive and predictable business environment. Simplifying administrative procedures and ensuring the best possible conditions for attracting foreign investment remain our priorities,” Minister Durmishi said.
He also emphasized that organizing forums of this kind creates important opportunities to advance economic relations and develop long-term cooperation between Macedonian and Indian companies.
In closing, Durmishi expressed confidence that the Macedonian-Indian Business Forum would open a new chapter in economic relations, bringing new investment and jobs, as well as stronger trade ties between North Macedonia and India.
