More than 56.7 kilograms of Cannabis Sativa were seized in a wooded area in the village of Koman, Shkodër, while four people were arrested.
Another person is being investigated while at liberty. The police operation, codenamed “Traces,” was carried out by the Narcotics Investigation Sector of the Shkodër Local Police Directorate, in cooperation with the Operational Support Section, following several weeks of proactive investigative work.

As part of the operation, P. F., 45, a resident of Gomsiqe, Vau i Dejës; M. P., 39, a resident of Dush, Vau i Dejës; K. K., 33, a resident of Shkodër; and D. N., 67, a resident of Tirana, were arrested. Meanwhile, A. F., 38, a resident of Gomsiqe and the brother of the arrested 45-year-old, is being investigated while at liberty.
According to preliminary investigations, the five individuals are suspected of working together to transport the narcotics by vehicles and boats to a wooded area in Koman, where they hid it and prepared it for sale. During the operation, police searched a camping area owned by 45-year-old P. F., as well as vehicles used by two of the arrested individuals.
Ten sacks containing more than 56.7 kilograms of cannabis were found at the site and seized as material evidence.
Police said work is continuing to fully document the suspected criminal activity and identify any other people who may have been involved.
The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecution Office at the Shkodër Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction for further action.
