New details have emerged from the anti-drug operation carried out in Tirana to dismantle the network that distributed narcotics, particularly near schools. According to sources, the arrested and wanted individuals operated in at least eight different groups spread across several areas of Tirana.

One group operated in Laprakë, another in the Braka and Jordan Misja areas, while other groups conducted their activities in Selitë, Yzberisht, Allias, as well as in the Electric Market and Student City areas, journalist Xhensila Kodra reports.
Between three and four people involved in selling narcotics have been identified in each of these groups.
One of the distinctive features of this network was the cooperation between the groups. When one of them did not have narcotics available, customers were referred to the other groups, allowing distribution to continue in this way.
To document the criminal activity, investigators used undercover agents and controlled purchases, particularly to document the sale of narcotics near educational institutions.
As part of the investigation, five suppliers of the groups were also targeted. They are suspected of securing the heroin and cocaine that was later distributed in different areas of Tirana.
