The port authority of Sarandë has imposed a full blockade on all floating vessels in the coastal area stretching from Sarandë to Borsh, including Ksamil, due to worsening weather conditions and sea state.

According to the official notice, the movement of all types of watercraft has been suspended immediately due to strong winds and wave heights that have exceeded safe navigation parameters. The order affects all speedboats, fishing boats, and any other vessel used for tourist or private purposes.
The ban came into effect at 6:00 a.m. on August 23, 2025, and will remain in force indefinitely until sea conditions improve and the Sarandë Port Authority issues a new order lifting the measure. Authorities have urged every owner and operator of vessels not to violate this decision, warning that any attempt to sail in these conditions will be considered a legal violation and will face corresponding penalties under the laws in force.
