Sources told KP that Abdixhiku sent the MPs a message asking them to address debates and positions concerning recent developments within the party’s structures.

In his message, the LDK leader invites the MPs to tomorrow’s joint meeting and asks them to respect party order and responsibility. He stresses that, at an important time for the country, the LDK must maintain a unified position after the issues have been discussed, carefully assessed and fully agreed upon. Abdixhiku adds that the meeting will feature an open discussion and that they will jointly determine the way forward, signing off the message with “Lumiri.”

So far, Lumir Abdixhiku and LVV leader Albin Kurti have met three times in an attempt to reach a power-sharing agreement, but these efforts have produced no result.

The continuation of the constitutive session was suspended on Saturday at Albin Kurti’s request. This came after the situation in the session escalated when Alliance MP Time Kadrijaj threw eggs at Albin Kurti.

In the June 7 elections, LVV secured 53 MPs, PDK 22, LDK 18 and the Alliance 7.
