Commenting on this development, Kurti stressed that the presence of such an airline operator confirms that Kosovo is increasingly seen as a safe and attractive destination for international businesses. For the government, adding air routes is not just a matter of comfort, but a strategic priority with a direct impact on economic progress, strengthening infrastructure, and bringing the diaspora closer to the homeland, reports “Bota sot”.
In his full statement, the acting head of the executive described the establishment of Wizz Air’s base as good news, along with the new Airbus A321neo aircraft that offers 239 seats. According to him, such investments strengthen the economy, create new connecting bridges, facilitate the movement of citizens, and bring Kosovars closer to Europe, making the flow of people and goods easier.
