The executive has decided to extend the deadline of the emergency measure, which was activated due to the threat to the regular supply of oil and its by-products. According to TV21 reports, the new validity period of this measure will begin on July 21 and remain active until October 20. The government office emphasizes that this legal instrument gives them the possibility for immediate intervention in the face of disruptions in the supply chain or drastic price fluctuations on global exchanges.
In the announcement issued by the Government’s media service, it is clarified that the main objective of this action is to equip institutions with a strong legal basis. This would enable a swift and efficient response to ensure the stability of supplies, to cushion the consequences of sudden market turmoil, as well as to protect the well-being of citizens and the course of the economy.
